WOW....
Landon and I met with the Stake President 2 weeks ago and got some shocking news! Landon was called to be Bishop of the Sierra Vista 5th ward. For those of you who dont know we have been in the spanish branch for the last 4 years and during that time moved into fifth ward boundries. We had never attended that ward, dont know the members and they dont know us! The first time we went was Sunday-the day he was set apart! I am sure there were a lot of surprised faces as they called him because they didnt know him. It has been a very special event for us, but a shock. We will miss the people in the branch, but look forward to getting to know the members in fifth ward and I have to admit it will be nice to attend church in English!

In Loving Memory
My dear friend, Kameron Haban, passed away Wednesday morning at 10am after a long and difficult fight with Lupus. Kameron was a generous, loving and incredible person. His family grew up in my ward and I became great friends with Kameron during High School. We had a lot of fun togehter at lunch, in classes, at chruch, dances and just hanging out. Kameron was always there to make me smile and never was unkind to anyone. Kameron and I stayed in touch when he went on his mission and then when he went to EAC. After Landon and I were married, Kameron helped Landon coach baseball. I also had the opportunity to become close to his mother when she worked with me in my class room. While working with her I understood why Kameron was the husband and father he was.
When Kameron and his fmaily moved to Sierra Vista, I got to meet and become friends with his incredible wife Jami. Jami is strong, faithful and an amazing woman who has been such a rock through this whole trial. She has reaaly tought me a lot about relying on our Lord to help us. They have a son, Kason, who is 2 1/2 years old. He is so sweet, soft-spoken and tender-hearted. Jami and Kason are now left on this earth without their sweet husband and father. While they know they WILL be reunited with him, they are in need of thoughts and prayers. I would also like to make a plea to everyone to help support this family in another way. Firends have just opened up an account in their behalf. Anybody can go to any Bank of America branch and ask to make a donation to the account under JamiLynn Haban for the benefit of Kameron Haban -OR- you could also make an online donation at paypal.com then send a donation to habanfundraiser@gmail.com. Please know that I would never ask this of you if it wasn't something that I truly believed in and something and someone that is in true need. Thank you so much to everyone for their support and love.
If you would like more information on the family, you are welcome to check out her blog where she has been documenting her experience. It is a detailed and heart-felt blog that is sure to touch your heart. Please read her post!! She really is an inspiration to Me and MANY others! The address is kamandjami.blogspot.com
Thanks again. Much love to you all

Rocky Point
I am so glad things worked out and we were able to go with my family to Mexico for a few days. We were all there except for Spencer(had school) and Jared(mission) We had lots of fun. For those of you that knew what Kade was like last year, we saw a big improvement, I think his "big boy" attitude came out when he saw his girl cousins playing the sand and water. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

What are you thankful for?
I just love this time of year when we get to stop and think about what we are thankful for and then move on to celebrate Christ's birth. I am thankful for so many things. We went to Grandma Grant's for Thanksgiving and before we ate every one had to say one thing we were thankful for. I was so glad I got to listen to everyone because it helped me realize how blessed we are, from trials to our families, and the Savior. Even though our country may be struggling we still have a lot to be grateful for. Now that Thanksgiving is over I am going to try to continue to remember all I have been blessed with and the real reason we celebrate Christmas. I am eternally in debt to my Savior for all he did for me. I am also thankful for MISSIONARIES! My mom got our first letter from Jared since he left the MTC for Chili. We have been waiting a long time and we didn't get to talk to him because of flight changes. I miss him so much but I know that he is serving the Lord and I am so proud of him, and the example he is setting. He sent a few pictures, and I wanted to share one with you.(he is so cute)
